Thoneteando

La serie "Thoneteando" se funda sobre una reflexión y un juego de asociaciones alrededor de la silla Thonet No. 14, ícono del diseño industrial, que nació hacia la mitad del siglo XIX. Pablo Reinoso comienza esta serie durante el año 2004, trabajando la "geometría Thonet" en relación con los movimientos geométricos en el arte: desde los mandalas tibetanos hasta el arte geométrico de los años 70, atravesando los movimientos constructivos para llegar a los minimalistas. Los encuentros que se produjeron de esta manera comenzaron a revelar otros encuentros: con los usuarios ausentes, con los espacios públicos vivenciados, el momento social que supone un conjunto de sillas, de historias, que van surgiendo sin esfuerzo del espíritu de estas obras; el costado absurdo de ciertos encuentros, las sillas imposibles, las que materializan su propia sombra, las que no permiten que uno se siente...
